Breastfeeding & Herbalife

I've been asked by customers who would like to know if breastfeeding moms can take Herbalife.

So I found this article from http://rozey-herbalife.blogspot.com/2008/07/breastfeeding-herbalife.html

Can Breastfeeding Moms take Herbalife Shakes?

Yes, breastfeeding moms can take Herbalife Shakes. Certain breastfeeding mom will want to directly start on the losing weight program. Certain breastfeeding mom will want to take the shakes for maintenance and then start with losing weight.

Breastfeeding mom are advisable to get onto lose weight program with Herbalife shakes after 8 weeks of delivery.

During the 1st -8th weeks, breastfeeding mom can take the shakes for health and weight maintenance.

How to take it for maintenance?

Breakfast - Shake

Lunch - Normal

Dinner - Normal

For breastfeeding mom, taking the shakes F1 + F3 is a must. F3 can help to increase the milk production. By taking just F1 alone, the milk production will be reducing..

Can Breastfeeding Moms take Tea-Mix

It is not advisable for breastfeeding mom to take tea mix. This is because in the tea mix it does contains tea caffeine extract.

However, I do ever met customer that she told me that even while breastfeeding she is still taking nescafe everyday cause she cant live without nescafe. So, if breastfeeding mom is taking nescafe.. then, does not make much difference in drinking tea mix.

But, if breastfeeding mom still wanted to consume tea mix, then make it very lite. Just a little light yellow colour will do. Remember to drink sufficient plan water daily.

PPP??

hhhahahha .. I received an e-mail from a lady from US .. She wrote to me that she has problem - getting hungry fast! hahahha ...

So when I read .. She wrote PPP .. Gosh! I really didn't know what it was. So, I googled and the result was - ShapeWorks Formula 3 Personalized Protein Powder (PPP) .. In Malaysia, we say it as Protein or Formula 3 (F3) :)

Anyway, I learnt a new abbreviation today :) But why do some people tend to get hungry fast even after their shakes?? Has this happened to you before? If yes, this might the problem - wrong breakfast or you had the food which is too much in content of CARBOHYDRATE (SUGAR)

Do you know that all our Health problems or challenges start everyday in the morning? Not 10 years ago, last year or in any specific date. Actually today it's scientifically proven that it's every single day in the morning, because it's in the morning that you set your body for the rest of your day. And this is a very important discovery, once now we know how to fix it for the rest of our life.

So, let me explain to you... You know a strong connection has recently been discovered between bad breakfast and many health-related problems. As you might know, our body consists of 100 trillion cells which need 114 various nutrients during the day.

What you ate yesterday consists of two major groups of elements. The first group supplies energy (proteins, fats, carbohydrates). The second group supplies building materials (amino acids, vitamins, minerals, microelements, etc).

You spent energy yesterday when you were awake, and your body used the building materials at night to regenerate itself. Besides, your body has spent 1 liter of water during the night through breathing, sweating and morning visit to the bathroom.

So your body wakes up "empty" in the morning and on behalf of 100 trillion cells begs you, "Hey, give me back all the nutrients, energy and water I spent in the last 24 hours". You may not feel hungry or thirsty in the morning, but it's just a matter of time.

And now let's see what you are giving your body in the morning: mainly carbohydrates. These are simple carbohydrates which when digested immediately turn into sugar. Your body wakes up in the morning and asks for vital nutrients and water, and you give it sugar instead.

By raising the blood sugar level, you force your pancreas to overproduce insulin. Insulin removes extra sugar from the blood and turns it into fat. As a results, blood sugar level drops, often below the level you woke up with.

Now you are feeling hungry and weak as your brain lacks sugar. It's a reason behind cravings. To overcome hunger, you again need simple carbohydrates (chocolate, sweet coffee, sandwiches, sweets, cookies, doughnuts, soft drinks and juices, etc.) which again raise your blood sugar level and free you of hunger and weakness. Each sugar "injection" is followed by the insulin surge.

This cycle repeats itself several times a day and you develop dependence on carbohydrates. The excess of carbohydrates makes the pancreas work at constant overload.

It's one of the most frequent reasons for developing diabetes. Besides, excess blood sugar damages blood vessels. Excessive sugar will be again and again turned into extra fat. All the above is the most common cause of extra weight, high blood pressure and diabetes. And it all begins with a bad breakfast.

Well, you would you like to know what a good breakfast is supposed to be, wouldn't you?

Well, it should meet four major criteria:
* Restore the energy spent in the last 24 hours
* Restore the building materials spent during the night
* Replenish the water stock
* Maintain the blood sugar level within the normal range and prevent insulin surge
